Four nights. in. a row.
Elliana has been sleeping GREAT!!!! :) That makes for one happy mama!
We put Elliana down at 8pm and she has been sleeping until about 5-6am!!! So wonderful!
We decided last week we would start to try to soothe her when she woke up in the middle of the night to see if she could make it without a bottle. We did have a couple hard nights when I had to go in there repeatedly, but we knew she didn't need to eat because as soon as I went in and put my hand on her chest, she stopped crying. We are really avoiding picking her up when she is crying, so we just soothed her--which we found she loves being jiggled a little bit with our hand on her chest.
One night Brent went in and she was fine as long as his hand was there. Finally she started just playing and holding on to his fingers and eventually fell asleep. We also let her get up to 10 minutes of crying before going in there, but I didn't even have to. It was 9 and she finally stopped. Since then, she has not been waking up in the middle of the night. Thank you, God!!! I was really hoping that would stop before a newborn comes in November.
Hopefully she keeps it up. I know there will be some nights that are just hard nights--all kids have that. But overall, she is sleeping GREAT!
