Tot School: letter G
Age: 28 months
We left in the middle of this week to go to Michigan, so we didn't do all that I wanted with this letter. I have the book Goodnight Gorilla and would like to incorporate that when we do phonics the next go round with the alphabet.
G is for gorilla
This page is one of the weekly printouts from 1plus1plus1equals1.com
Raelynn can now just be given the box of markers and she colors all the animals the correct color. Then we match something on it...either puff balls, unifix cubes, or m&ms.
Playing with unifix cubes. She likes to make "trumpets" out of them more than the patterns!
(I put dots on the paper and then she matches the cube on top of the dot. She can't make a pattern herself yet)
How does Raelynn know what color to color the gorillas in the first place?
ReplyDeleteI am so thankful you are doing this for your sake and mine! :)
Each animal has a square around it and in the square it says the name of the color in its color. Make sense?
DeleteYou can start doing this as a way to help teach colors...telling them the color and showing them the right one to color. Then as time goes on they will get it!
And at first she would just make a couple lines, now she really loves coloring them. We do this every week!
