The tiny tots had some fun this week experimenting with some new sensory activities. It's fun to see how long they go before they realize they can eat it.
Elliana did yogurt finger painting with some food coloring:
Getting messier and messier as she went on....and she loved it!!!
We did glow sticks in the bathtub and it was a hit with them all, but Raelynn loved it the most. She continued to wear them on her wrists the rest of the night. (this was taken in the dark, but you can't tell. The glow sticks light up the water, it's pretty neat! They are at the dollar store)
I love to do the rice bins, but know that the babies would eat that and make a mess of it. I saw online a while ago the idea to use
boxed mashed potatoes for babies. We tried that and they really enjoyed it! Ike liked it too and he was a big help with the clean up:)

Declan enjoyed scooping |

Elliana loves this wooden spoon |
|
They would look up at each other while playing |
|
Declan was trying to scoop into the toilet paper roll |
|
Just playing with the texture...banging in the bowl |
|
feeling it in her fingers |
|
banging so hard the ball is actually bouncing up out of the bowl here! |
Then I took Elliana up to go for a nap.....and this is what I found when I came back....

I think it's really cute when he looks over the side:) |
The bowl is on the floor! And he discovered he can EAT it!
Shots of mashed potato!!
The mashed potatoes are SO cheap and an easy clean up. Definitely have to be prepared to sweep and clean afterward if you attempt this activity:)
That is brilliant!! Boxed Mashed Potatoes! I was about to throw some away this past week...cause well let's face it, they just aren't great! So now I don't have to feel so wasteful! :) Love Declan's shot of them! haha!
