"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved." Ephesians 1:3-6

Project 52: November 30-December 6

Sunday Snapshot:

Out at Target buying diapers and right next to the diaper aisle in this fun photo spot! Raelynn chose how she wanted to pose!

Sunday evening we celebrated Christmas with Mimi and Papa because we will not be with them for Christmas.  The kids each got something to read, wear, and play with.

We went to AJ's for a tea and treat! :)

We did this coloring activity to go with our Brown Bear Brown Bear learning and I was so happy to see Elliana sorting all the colors correctly! The kids loved the m&m treats!

We went to McCormick Railroad Park this week with Mimi and Papa.  The kids LOVED it!
boarded on the train!

To go along with The Gingerbread Man book that Mimi had brought and been reading to the kids, we did a gingerbread man craft and frosted some gingerbread man cookies

We celebrated Colt's birthday on Thursday.  It was a few days early, but we wanted to celebrate while Mimi and Papa were in town.  More to come on this, of course!

Before heading to the airport, Mimi and Papa met up with us for breakfast at Joe's Farmgrill

Making candy canes with pipe cleaner and beads

The past few years we have gone to Cherry Lane lights with our friends the Gonzales'.  It is a small cal-de-sac in Mesa that every house goes all out with Christmas lights and at the end of the street is a house that has transformed their backyard into scenes to tell the story of the birth of Jesus.  We always eat In n Out before and it's always a fun time! This year it was so warm so we went to the park after and the kids played and ate cookies.

Saturday we also had family photos taken. I will post all the good ones as well as the out takes in another post. As you can imagine, it was quite the time! We were there with all 16 Frazeys!

Tot School: Green frog

Continuing our color theme through the book Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See? And slowly but surely I am getting these posted:)

Green was a very fun week.  Another week with so many options of things that are green! And so many fun frog activities.

Color: Green

As we have done with the other colors, the kids colored the coloring page with markers, crayons, and colored pencils.  They also explored the green bucket of items I gathered from around the house.

2. Bible Story/Scripture:  The Ten Plagues (specifically the frogs over the land) in Exodus 8

The Jesus Storybook Bible has this story with pictures of frogs on the pages. The kids did green dot markers on a coloring page

The Gospel Story Bible has the story in it and the kids did an activity gluing pictures of the plagues on a paper as I read the story.  I think I found the pictures from a Sunday school curriculum through a google search

3. Hands On Craft:  Green Frog

4. Food Experience: Celery, Green apples, Kool-Aid popsicles, Green Grapes

ants on a log
The green apple frogs were fun to make and the kids loved them!  The eyes are banana slices with chocolate chips, arms and legs are green grapes, and I used peanut butter to hold the pieces together

5. Memorable Experience:  Growing Grass and learning the song "Little Green Frog" and "Five Little Speckled Frogs"

The kids planted grass seed at the beginning of the week.  It was perfect timing because daddy had just planted our winter grass in the back yard and this week it was sprouting! The kids had fun watering their grass and watching it each day.

By the end of the week the grass had grown very tall! And of course we kept it around for a while after "green week" was over.

This is our log and our speckled frog.  Not real cute or exciting, but the kids LOVED it! Loved singing the song and acting it out with the frogs.

This was a very last minute impromptu activity.  I had green crate paper but didn't know what I was going to do with it...but the kids love riding their bikes around the island so it was perfect to hang in there and make a "car wash" for them to drive through!

I cut lily pads and numbered them.  I had Raelynn put them in order and then we all played leap frog with them.  They enjoyed that for a while.  Then we took the plastic frogs and counted them onto the lily pad.  Lastly, before they were ready to be thrown away I had Raelynn dot marker the correct amount of dots on each lily pad.

6. Sensory Experience: Painting with Shaving Cream

I added a couple drops of food coloring to some shaving cream and the kids all had a paintbrush and had fun in the shower.  It was an easy clean up because we just turned the water on! They also had a green kool aid popsicle in the shower and I threw in some frogs so they could remember our Bible lesson from the week.

Another fun activity the kids enjoyed was telling the story with the felt board.  I traced each animal from the story onto felt and when we read the story they like to go up and put their piece on and then take it off.  It was easy to make...a little time consuming, but really easy!

Project 52: November 23-29

Sunday Snapshot:
Mimi and Papa are here with us!!

Declan and Raelynn had a sleep over at Mimi and Papa's house so I was able to take Elliana and Colt on a special date to McDonald's to play in the toddler area and get a cookie:) Those little outings are so special.  In fact, because the kids were taking turns spending the night away, we got a lot more one on one time (or on two time) than normal and decided we need to actually schedule dates out for the kids with us.  Having those special times really lets their personality come out, especially in our younger kids who are usually a bit overpowered by their oldest sister:)
enjoying her cookie!
This was later in the week when Brent took a day off and we took just the boys to Chick-Fil-A because the girls were over to Mimi's house.

My little monkey! Climbing on everything!

Colt and I were taking selfies to send to auntie Dre while we were reading a book she gave him. :)

Reading with Papa
Mimi did manicures for the girls:)

Declan lined all his cars up to read a book with us:)

We went to Winco on Wednesday for some last minute Thanksgiving groceries and on the way out the kids asked Brent to get a ball.  We happened to have some change, so we said yes! Brent got one!! The kids were far less excited than me, as I literally jumped and yelled "You got one!!!" because they didn't quite get that these claw machines are hard work! I think they assume it's like a gumball machine--just put in the quarter and get the prize.  It was a fun moment for us all:)

Thanksgiving Day:
swinging at the park while Daddy plays football

Eating at their own table at Grandma and Tank's for lunch

The kickball game--so fun!!! The toddlers were playing too, so it was a lot of fun.

The day after Thanksgiving we moved into Christmas mode! Mimi read the story "The Gingerbread Boy" to the kids and we made gingerbread cookies.  We also did some crafts in the following weeks.
aprons on all ready to bake their cookies!

That evening we put up the Christmas tree, turned on the Christmas music and enjoyed hot chocolate!

Only two bulbs were broken!
It took them a while to sip their hot chocolate....I decided maybe I should give them some in the mornings when I want to just sit and drink my entire cup of coffee
