"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved." Ephesians 1:3-6

Project 52: July 12-18

Sunday Snapshot

This kid is always doing something new to amaze me.  Now he climbs up on the barstools! He is always on the go!

He will also disappear for a little while and we all know where he is off to....he goes upstairs and finds his paci in his crib! This time it was actually helpful because while painting I didn't want anything in his mouth!

Painting new baby cousin Evelyn some pictures
This week was annual Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-Fil-A! We have been able to make it about every year and is always so much fun.

Friday was Declan's 3rd Birthday! Brent took the day off and we celebrated at Bounce-U.  It was a fun weekend celebrating our birthday boy with a family night on Friday and a party with friends on Saturday.  Even Spiderman made a surprise appearance! More photos on a separate post to come.

It never fails....they always crawl under it!

Friday night we had dinner with family at Joe's Farm Grill.  While Daddy was in the 'bathroom', Spiderman showed up!! Declan's face was priceless as he noticed him and we could tell he was excited, but he didn't want to get to close to him.  He was ok with a high five as long as mommy held him:)

After dinner it was back to our house for cake and gifts.  He loved his Spiderman cake, which was what he had requested.  It was SO funny when we were all singing to him he cut us all off and said "happy birthday to me!" and blew out his candles in the middle of the song!

Saturday afternoon we had fun at the splash pad and Spiderman showed up again, this time with pizza! Marissa said she saw him at the pizza place and brought him along!

Project 52: July 5-11

On Tuesday this week we went to the library.  It is so hot here.  So so hot.  And when we are at the Greenfield library we are so so close to AJ's.  And we just discovered free cookies for kids.  So combine all those things and it makes for a great reward for all of us for surviving a trip to the library with 4 toddlers in the heat.

The superhero summer reading program is going on at the library....

This week was 50 cent short stacks at IHOP.  We had a date night planned so we didn't eat, but it made for a great dinner for the kids and they love eating at restaurants!

One activity the kids enjoy and one that keeps them busy for a while is stacking cheerios (or fruit loops) on spaghetti noodles! I stick the noodle in play dough for them and they can't eat it until its to the top.

I was pleased with her pattern! She didn't understand patterns for a long time then one day it just clicked!

On July 9 we saw our sweet baby for the first time.  We heard the heartbeat over the ultrasound.  At just 7 weeks we could see a heartbeat on the monitor and little tiny arms and legs moving around.  Simply amazing.
It was also half price sundaes at Sonic, so we figured it was a good reason to celebrate with ice cream!

We have enjoyed Wiggleworms a couple times this summer at the McQueen Activity Center.

The kids wanted to make their own peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.  We have safe knives, so I figured it was a great idea! They did great with it, although I think they liked licking the extra peanut butter off the best!

This boy is 19 months this week and he has to do EVERYTHING his big brother and sisters do.  He doesn't miss a beat.

Declan's thing lately is helping me wash the dishes.  I have learned to keep the plastic dishes aside for him! I just wash real quick then let them soak and let him have at it.  He will be at the sink for what seems like a very long time and enjoys helping.  It's a very sweet time when he is on one side of the sink and I'm on the other.

And if I'm taking a picture of someone else....she always finds a way to get in.

Friday we were over swimming and the girls were getting ready to go out to Jesterz with friends.  Brent knows I haven't been feeling well and was so sweet to pretty much force me to go.  So I borrowed Kacia's clothes and he took the kids home and put them all to bed.

I made some invitations for Declan's 3rd birthday party this week! He loves Spiderman!

Saturday my newest niece was born! Welcome sweet little Evelyn Jean! I'm SO excited to meet her in September.

Project 52: June 28-July 4

Sunday Snapshot(s): there are A LOT:)

We left California today and stopped at a park in Imperial Beach to spend some time just the 6 of us before heading on the road.  I had fun zooming in with my new camera to capture some moments.

hang on, when did he get so big!?

Along a path were all these little "flower" weeds that the kids wanted to pick.  It's all about perspective, isn't it?

and what is it about that little toddler squat that is just so cute?!

Then we found a tree to climb!

she's a beauty!

We have been enjoying Grandma and Tank's pool during these hot summer nights!

Raelynn still naps every day, even though she goes down about an hour after the other kids.  So some days when I have an errand to run I take her with me and we have some really special mommy-daughter time.  I could put her to nap, but I so much enjoy this time with her so I take her with me.  And she has learned that AJ's gives free cookies to kids, so now she always wants to stop and get mommy a tea...a win for both of us:)

I saw the kids doing this outside all on their own!!! I think they miss the beach......
a mermaid!
On July 3 we had a surprise birthday party for our friend Mary! Such a nice dinner and we played a really fun card game called Mafia.  Unfortunately we were unable to get a sitter, so Brent stayed home with the kids.

the ladies....and now as I post this picture 2 months later Mary and Tess have both had their baby girls!

July 4 we used Grandma and Tank's pool with friends!

July 4 is an extra special day for us in addition to Independence day.  July 4, 2013 is the day Elliana entered America and came into our family forever.  We watched the video of her homecoming and went out to frozen yogurt to celebrate.
Last year we celebrated her one year homecoming on the beach in Califorina!

"THAT'S ME!!!"

We ended the day with some fireworks in the front of the house, which terrified the majority of our children.  Then we went to the park near our house to watch the fireworks set off by the city.

we attempted to set off a lantern, but it didn't make it too far....
