"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved." Ephesians 1:3-6

Project 52: week twenty

November 3-9, 2013

Sunday Snapshot:

Was 36 weeks on November 1, this was taken on November 3.

Our little reader:)  I just can't get over how much he loves books.

Elliana received a couple birthday gifts in the mail this week.  Declan enjoyed playing with them too:) Since they are for ages 1+, Declan is able to do them independently and it gives us something to play with for Elliana.  This is a neat peg board toy.

Elliana is doing well! She is super fussy at times, and again, it is so hard because we don't know if it is adoption related or just sinful selfishness and complaining.  She is still napping and sleeping well and is now eating great! This week we didn't give her any purees and she has been eating with her hands.  She is getting faster and willing to try new foods.  Her favorites are black beans, corn and peas.  She likes those better than fruit! We try to break up whatever we are eating for dinner now and have her try it.  She is a smart one though and knows how to pick through her tray to find what she wants.
She had her third tooth poke through this week.  So she has three teeth on the bottom and none on top.  She is now crawling to us when she wants to be held and pulls on my leg or pants.  As soon as Daddy gets home she crawls over to the door to see him.  So precious.  Before she just kind of sat there and cried, even though she was able to crawl. Even if we set a bottle of milk out for her, she wouldn't crawl to it.  It was like she forgot how to crawl when she wanted something.
She does hate to stand, but we continue to make her.  The little bead maze on the left is another new birthday gift and she was actually standing and playing with it with one hand.  She can stand well, just really dislikes it.

BIG ACCOMPLISHMENT THIS WEEK!!!!

I saw the whole thing happening so I grabbed the camera and just watched so it didn't distract her.  Then of course after she made it up and I cheered, she looked back and me and fell to the floor:/  Hopefully it won't discourage her from trying again!

Saturday we had the opportunity to go to Daddy's work for a fall festival for the employees and their families.  It was SO nice! A great lunch served, cotton candy, snow cones, carnival games, and lots of bounce houses.  Declan and Raelynn loved the slide and bounce houses.  Elliana and mommy hung out in the chair for a lot of the time.

Raelynn sharing her cotton candy with Elliana

Say Cheese! Such little hams.  Raelynn got a hair cut this week! Amazing what cutting a layer of those crazy locks will do!  She sure has some wild curls.

This was a great find at a garage sale! The intent is to put it in Raelynn's room for her quiet time. It hasn't made it upstairs yet, though.  She really enjoyed it--hopefully it isn't just the newness of it and she will continue to use it:)
