"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved." Ephesians 1:3-6

12 months of sensory dough: cloud dough

It's the second month of "12 Months of Sensory Dough" and this month is Cloud Dough!
Best of the Best Cloud Dough
We made our dough while cousin Adele was visiting, so it provided a lot of fun for the girls.

Again, I had never made any homemade dough before joining this challenge.  So the cloud dough was completely new to me.

First, I set out to find a recipe....I only looked at one blog and it was one google had found for me.
You can find the recipe I used here.

After looking further, it seems all recipes use an 8:1 ratio of flour and oil for the recipe.  Super easy and I love it when I have the ingredients in my pantry! So this cost me a total of zero dollars:)
The recipe says baby oil...but I don't have that. So we used vegetable oil.

Lemon Lime Adventures is the home blog for sensory dough series and lists other blogs that are participating.

Our ingredients:
Tried adding food coloring but it didn't work.  Also added glitter later and that didn't do much either.

Step 1: Make a flour "mountain"
Step 2: Make a hole in the top of the mountain and pour the oil in.
The girls were very serious about their mountain making.

Step 3: MIX and get MESSY! :)

To go along with our birthdays and also our BFIAR book, Ask Mr. Bear, the girls made cupcakes with the dough
Adele adding sprinkles

concentrating hard

Having a great time!!!!
Again, this dough didn't turn out the way all the pinterest pictures look.....but the kids LOVED it and that is all that matters!!! It was messy, but easy to clean up.  And doesn't contain anything that they couldn't eat which is nice--since that is always a big temptation--especially when sprinkles are added;)
