"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved." Ephesians 1:3-6

Fall Fun!

This past Saturday morning we went to Welcome Home Ranch Pumpkin Festival.  Friday night Brent suggested that we go to a pumpkin patch festival since we had no plans for Saturday.  After looking at a few options, we made the very easy choice to go to the Welcome Home Ranch.

This is the information from their website:

Welcome Home Ranch was purchased in June of 2012 by the John Volken Foundation, a non-profit organization based out of Vancouver, Canada. The foundation dually supports the Welcome Home Life Skills Academy, which has two other locations, and Lift The Children, which supports 92 orphanages in Africa.
Gilbert academy students live and work on Welcome Home Ranch as they learn diverse career training, personal development and healthy living practices. Students between the ages of 18 and 34 voluntarily commit to this two-year-program and are subject to a mandatory, zero-tolerance substance-free policy.

How cool is that?!  They are located at Val Vista and Riggs, so it wasn't too far for us.  They aren't fancy schmancy like others in the area, but they definitely had all we needed for our little ones.  We would much rather give our money to support this organization than any other! Admission was free and we chose a few activities that our kids could do....

They had a petting zoo (which was FREE!!!!):

Raelynn found this carrot and was trying to feed it to all the animals...no one wanted it!

Declan discovered they had tails and was trying to tug at them!

They had a train:
Raelynn LOVED the train and rode it a couple times.

Mama barely fit.  And getting in was much easier than getting out!

They had several bounce houses:

Elliana watched:)

They had a pumpkin patch.  So of course we had to let Raelynn pick a pumpkin!
Declan plopped next to this one and was quite content.  He's clapping here.

Raelynn took special care in choosing her pumpkin.  She actually walked around and looked and lifted until she found the one she wanted:)

Just right!

Declan trying to lift a pumpkin

Raelynn helping choose a pumpkin for 'Baby Brother'---this was all her idea.

Gotta have a photo shoot at a pumpkin patch!!! :)

One of the better family photos we have had with all 5 of us!

They had pony rides:

What a great day!!!!  I highly recommend this place.  For older kids they had a bigger bounce house, a huge rock wall, a euro jumper and a haunted house.  They had a grill, too.
